bia is a gentle energy drink. What we mean by gentle, is in comparison to other energy drinks and pre workouts bia will not be taxing on your body. The caffeine amount in bia is 80 mg. A typical cup of coffee is 95 mg of caffeine. (Most energy drinks have 150-250 mg of caffeine) We add l-theanine (an amino acid) with the caffeine, and that combination improves attention and focus. The calming properties from the l-theanine can help counteract the jittery, anxious feeling and the crash that is typically associated with caffeine.
Our drinks base is coconut water powder, making it not only energy-boosting, but hydrating. There are 7 different b-vitamins (including b12), vitamin C, MCTs (from coconut), a little added fiber (maltodextrin), and sweetened with a cross between Monkfruit and Stevia. No added sugar, and bia is vegan.

Our favorite time to drink bia (if we had to pick one) is in the afternoon, as a pick-me-up - instead of reaching for that second or third coffee. It also works great as a jitter-free pre workout.

The long answer - is we are a small business. Most ingredient suppliers require a large minimum order quantity, in this case 200 lbs of each flavor. Ginger is a mix of ginger and cayenne, so we would have needed 200 lbs of both ginger and cayenne. We were able to have our supplier pre-combine the two, so instead of 400 lbs, we were able to get 200 lbs of the combination. Because of that, the ingredient is natural flavors, instead of "ginger, and cayenne"
It is the same case for the other flavors, which also have real fruit in each of them.

bia contains coconut water powder - we consider coconut a fruit but depending on your severity of allergy, take this into consideration.

bia is currently processed in a facility that is nut-free at the time of this writing, although that is subject to change.

The ingredient in some energy drinks that typically causes a jittery feeling is Beta-Alanine. Many companies also top that off with 200 mg of caffeine. bia does not contain beta-alanine and has 80mg of caffeine - It should not cause a jittery feeling. If you are extremely sensitive to caffeine or other ingredients, we suggest consulting with your doctor or trying a partial serving to see how your body reacts! During our testing, no one reported feeling jittery.

While each flavor contains a slightly different combination of ingredients, all flavors have the following ingredients: Coconut water, Fibersol (non gmo), MCT powder, L-theanine, B-complex, Caffeine, Vitamin C, Malic Acid, & Monksweet.

We like to take bia in the morning, mid morning, or early afternoon, but this really depends on your own schedule! bia can be taken anytime - but as there are 80mg of caffeine per serving, we recommend not having any caffeine 6-8 hours prior to sleep.
